Some paper and some string

Christmas was a bit odd this year, since Kevin had the kids for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day...and then ended up having them 3 extra days. So, we were ready for some celebrating together!

Brennan and Elise (Kaia helped some, but got kinda bored) made the gingerbread house that my mom and Lorna sent up. Brennan was very keen on getting it just right. And, Elise wanted to do it "herself"!

Elise is wearing the darling outfit Great-Grandma Stout got her!

Within moments of them arriving back home...they were ready to open up the gifts Santa had dropped off here...

This year, I made the kids capes. They are double-sided and satiny...they can be superhero capes, royal capes...whatever their imaginations' desire...

Brennan and I actually just finished reading the King Arthur book he got tonight!

Brennan was stoked to get a kids' gardening set and both the girls were excited to get "ponies"

And, the stockings were hung in the hallway with care...

The week after, the kids were mucho excited to receive a delivery in the night from a couple of Elves (Adam & Liz), who brought them some fun things from the California peeps...

This might be my favorite Christmas gift shot this year...Elise was so fun to watch open gifts :). She was so dang pleased with everything and kept saying "for Lees?" "Yay!"

Kaia loved her Littlest Pet Shops and her princess stuff, and Brennan loved his atlas, his light up globe, and his art stuff-and Elise loved her dolly stuff, her princess stuff & the act of opening gifts :)!

Oh the joyous excess that is Christmas :)
