Night at the Museum

Why, hello there, Mr. T-Rex!

Some of the tools they use to work on these delicate bones. The museum worker that decided it was our lucky night :). Below, Brennan is enraptured by the liquid nitrogen demonstration! Also below, Kaia & Elise look into a teepee lifestyle.

A couple weeks ago, I took the kiddos to the free night at the Natural History Museum. They of course loved it. Brennan was enchanted by the science experiments they were putting on (YAY!) and then we got to go "backstage" to the lab where they put together all the dinosaur bones found in Utah. A museum worker pulled me & the cubs aside and said that she would take us back there if we didn't tell any of the other (approx. 60) kids. Well...that's the cool kind of secret so we went and looked at dinosaur bones. Some of them are new dinosaur types that haven't even been named yet!

Jennifer Visits Part II

Jennifer and I were able to visit with a couple of people together on Wednesday before Jennifer had to fly out. After visiting with Denise (below), we went to lunch with Corinne and Corinne's oldest son, Taylor. For the record, Taylor did AWESOME at being a respectful and darling kiddo while the three of us visited. Corinne and Jennifer haven't seen each other in about 6 1/2 years, so it was a fun (albeit brief) reunion. We laughed a LOT in that short amount of time and Jennifer saved me from a hilariously embarrassing (and potentially mortifying) moment and the three of us will be chuckling about that for a long time :)!

The five of us Taylor shows off his new 'grown-up' teeth

What Olivia did for the first part of lunch:)

Olivia's beautiful profile Open-mouthed breather (OMB)

Here is Jennifer helping baby Olive sing to Denise's son, Bryce. Bryce was a bit shy, so this helped (a little) him get more comfortable. It definitely helped us all to laugh!
Denise apparently has quite the way with babies and was able to help sweet Olive get some sleep on her shoulder.
We went out to Eagle Mountain, Utah to visit one of Jennifer's best friends that we grew up with-Denise Graves Kauffman. Olivia was not happy at being taken out of her comfort zone...but, Denise was soon able to help calm her down (after Jenny fed and satiated Olive)

Me and Olive like to dance and sing :)...We discovered we have a mutual taste in excellent music
