Movement!

Felt the baby move tonight at 10:55 p.m.  :)

It's the first time I've been certain that it is what is going on. There have been a few times in the past couple of weeks where I felt a couple of fleeting "maybe" motions...but, this was a definite.

In the weeks to come, I'm sure that I will be ready for Spot to slow down on the moving; but, right now, this is awesome!

Kaia's first game!



Um...sure, Mom, I'll smile for a sec. But, I really need to get this water bottle open...

 Kaia gets to play "real" soccer this year :)! Last year she played on an indoor team through the rec center...and, I was sorely disappointed in it. They just didn't really take it seriously. And, not that I think sports aren't supposed to be fun...but, I do want the kids to learn from them! You know, hard work, determination, team playing...life skills...ya know?
So, I have been very pleased thus far with AYSO. It's a good adjustment for Kaia. They have consistent practices, they drill with the kids, and their goal is for all the kids to learn and play.
For all intents and purposes, this is really Kaia's first foray into soccer. And, I'm so glad that she's enjoying it! Last year, she let herself get "too tired" and wanted to take a break. This year, she has been surprised when practices are over 'so soon' :)! 
Kaia's team is the 'Hot Chili Peppers' and, so far-it's great!

Ice Skating

We took the kids ice skating for their first time about 3 weeks ago. They had a blast and wanted to go again soon. As their Mama, I was most stoked because they didn't give up. A couple of years ago, they would've either been wanting to quit after the first few minutes, or whining a majority of the time. Well, it was hard. And, they didn't get it. But, they stuck with it and kept going...even when their ankles were sore after 10 minutes :). And, they truly wanted to go back...this makes me sooo proud of them and of our little family and the places we are heading!
