This time, I was determined to:
A. Get off the chair lift without falling
...this did happen! On the third and fourth times, I was able to do it...with the fourth time being markedly better than the third ;)!
and...
B. Learn how to get back up when I fall...and, to do so without help!
....a huge shout-out to Bree & Liz for their fabulous understanding and patience on this one! But, I did it! I got to the point where I could get myself back up without feeling like the turtle who falls on their back!
I did get a couple of decent times down the mountain and Adam did a great job of biting his tongue & practicing patience and then helping me go down a couple of times.
Travis did an awesome job of being understanding of all the girl "craziness" that made me want him around...and, at the same time, not want him witnessing my ineptitude! He was truly wonderful!!
Mostly, though, we had an awesome time with the family and we really enjoyed playing all day. Trav really had fun going boarding and just hung out on the same easy slope (not quite the bunny slope) that I was on all day. AND, I want to go back. I left feeling like I could eventually get it, as long as I keep working on it. And, that was one of the greatest things!

hey, you are ALIVE! loved reading your update. ps, skiing is so much easier, therefore funner, hooray!
I tried snowboarding once and could not even get up the little rope pull. It was not fun and I will not do it again. Me and cold weather activities do not mix!
I have never gone snowboarding so good for you! It looks hard but it looks like fun! Do you think you'll go again? I really want to try skiing.
