Today was picture day at school. I let the kids wear whatever they want (weather permitting) most days. Meaning, I don't get all panicked if it doesn't match. Kaia's pretty hip on red tights and purple skirt and a blue tank top with a jean jacket. And, Elise is known for her dresses every day...sometimes with an additional skirt underneath :). Brennan is usually pretty safe...but, for example the other day he wore a flannel shirt with green track pants. I love it! I don't care what other mom's think...I love that my kids are expressing themselves. Because that is what dressing is becoming...particularly to the girls! And, I don't want to squelch that.
Point (you were wondering when I'd get to it, huh?): I don't panic over picture day. I just want their hair to be brushed and clean and have their faces free of syrup or random smears of dirt.

Elise wanted a piece of the picture action. Well, kindof. She wanted me to take pictures of her making funny faces. And, when she was done-she was done (as seen by the look on her face)...
