Kaia turned 6 years old on July 22!
To celebrate, we had some of her favorite foods in a picnic, played some games, opened a few gifts, made mini ice cream pies & then did a special balloon activity...
Ben, Elise & Kaia enjoy the picnic (Kaia is eating off the heart placemat...Brennan was a tad jealous...)

For the final part of the evening, we each wrote down a wish we had for Kaia in the coming year. Then, we each read Kaia the wish we had for her. Finally, we attached our wishes to five balloons (one for each year of life that she has lived now) and let those five years and five wishes head into the stars and space.

First things first: I took Kaia and she picked a dress to wear, I washed her feet and rubbed lotion on them, I painted her nails and toenails, I put lotion on her arms and hands, I did her make-up and hair, we listened to music and danced, and then we took a few photos of her.
It's fun to be a girl!
Happy Birthday, Sweet Kaia!!
